The 12th edition of the Solaris Cup has concluded at Porto Rotondo, Sardinia, confirming its place as one of the most distinctive regattas in the Mediterranean shipyard regatta calendar. Seventy boats and their crews competed over two days of racing that tested every dimension of sailing ability — from brute-force upwind work in 20 knots on Day 1, to a demanding offshore course between the islands of Mortorio and Soffi on Day 2, with conditions swinging from 5 to nearly 30 knots as the fleet returned to the finish line off the Yacht Club.
The racing told a clear story on the water. In Class 0, GG (Solaris 74 RS) was the standout performer of the regatta, leading the fleet home on the water in both races — a statement of pure boat speed across two contrasting days of conditions. In Class B, GIOVI (Paolo Bastiani, Solaris 55) was equally dominant, taking line honours in both races and finishing with a perfect scoreline. In Class A, PITTILANTO (Pierpaolo Zani, Solaris 44 mod.) demonstrated consistent pace across both days to claim the class.
Final standings, determined on corrected time, saw the following class winners crowned at the prize-giving ceremony held at the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo on the evening of 6 June:
- Class A Winner: PITTILANTO — Pierpaolo Zani Solaris 44 mod.
- Class B Winner: GIOVI — Paolo Bastiani Solaris 55
- Class 0 Winner: CRAZY DIAMOND — Enzo Pellizzaro Solaris 60
All three class trophies, along with the full range of prizes presented at the ceremony, were made possible by the support of the event’s partners and sponsors — whose commitment gives the Solaris Cup its character both on and off the water.
